gladly bridging the heart and the brain
through music.
Music therapy looks different depending on the client and their needs. Here are some examples of what some of my sessions have looked like :)

An ocean drum is a great tool for relaxation, regulation, exploration, and more! Here we are exploring different ways to play the drum!

Learning posture at the piano!

I use velcro visuals along with the ocean drum to address labeling, following directions, alternating attention, and creative thinking!
Sometimes our pets get to join in on the fun!
First adaptive piano lesson and we are already tackling his favorite song, the Mario theme song!
Music therapy does not require the client to stay seated for the duration of the session! Here my client is receiving sensory input from her swing while using aim, decision-making, spacial skills, and attention to play the piano with her foot!
My client ran away from me into the backyard and onto the trampoline…. fine! If you need that sensory input we’ll do the session from here! We used the rhythmic bouncing of the trampoline to practice saying his name (client is non-speaking). If you listen closely he says his name “Abie” in the beginning
Learning colors and working on attention skills through a fun song about colors with scarves!
